I traveled to Libya in March 2009 to participate in a race across the Sahara Desert in an area called the Akakus in South Western Libya. This was an amazing trip where a small number of Americans could participate for the first time in this French run event. Recent improvements in diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Libya has made this possible. In order to find others to participate in this event I created a web site for Americans so they could understand the event and more importantly understand the new political foundation.
